Estate planning and probate services

We are a mother and daughter legal team who work together to assist our clients in making plans for life transitions.

Who we are

Elizabeth is originally from Alabama and has made Seattle her home since 1987. Before law school she spent several years as a Head Start teacher in Nashville which led her to complete a PhD in human development at the University of North Carolina and work in education policy in Washington, D.C. She graduated from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans in 1986, and has practiced since 1987 as a King County prosecutor, public defender, and judge pro tem until she opened her own practice in estate planning in 2003. She loves getting to know her clients, ensuring their questions are answered, and a weight is lifted from their shoulders.

Sophie was born and raised in Seattle, and went to the University of New Mexico School of Law for her degree and a specialization in Indian Law. After graduating in 2015, she practiced in Albuquerque as a public defender and worked in a Healing to Wellness Court to assist people with addiction. She then worked for a nonprofit that specialized in child welfare issues and served as a guardian ad litem for child welfare cases for New Mexico, including ICWA cases, and several Pueblos’ child welfare departments. In 2020, she moved home to Seattle and joined a law firm where she represented tribal governments and tribal clients. In October 2024 she joined her mother’s practice. She is excited to expand the practice to include Native American clients in need of estate planning and probate. She is thrilled to join her mother’s work and find solutions to the issues our clients face.
